This thing has save my butt so many times - I love it. First off, the one thing that I can't change about it: It's not the loudest thing in the world. Outdoors as a lone speaker, it will get lost. Having it on a pole helps. The rest: It is usually plenty loud. I use this busking on the street, farmers markets and the like. It's loud enough for people around listening. It isn't going to overtake the sausage cart 40 feet away. I say "swiss army" and all that because I've shown up to venues to perform and they say "there's the PA" and all it is is a 15" powered speaker with 1/4" input. And with the Bose, I can plug my mic and my acoustic in, dial in a great sound with reverb and everything, send the 1/4" output to that other speaker and use the Bose as a monitor/mixer. I have had to do this so many times. Or it's a strange mixer situation in some punk rock place - where the bartender is also the soundperson. This same thing works. Give them a 1/4" (or bring a 1/4" to XLR adapter) and go straight to their board and the bartender only has to control volume. EZPZ. Or they have a decent PA but no monitor. Take a line from the board and go into one of these channels and you are sorted. Not just that but with the battery, you don't have to be scrambling to find another place to plug it in for power. Throw in one of those inexpensive Xvive wireless units and it can live far away from the board. Would it be great if it had more inputs? Sure. But it has 2 and that is usually enough. If you need a third, there's a bluetooth 1/8" aux input and that can be utilized as well. I have a european tour coming up that has all kinds of different PA situations and I'm looking into buying another one overseas. I just wish the custom made, absolutely perfect Bose backpack that goes with it didn't cost $160! But...it is perfect.

I can't say enough good things about this speaker. Don't let the small size and the light weight fool you. This is a true example of great things coming in small packages. After seeing mine several musicians, i work with are making the purchase of one for themselves.

This Bose speaker was just what I was looking for. It is small and light weight. It has two microphone/instrument inputs and AUX input each with own volume control. Sound quality is excellent. I also like the ability to use it with the battery only. I have always had enough hours of use with out having to plug it in. Highly Recommended

We used this speaker on our beach vacation and it was loud enough for a large group. The battery lasts all day. I also purchased the nylon cover to protect it from the elements outdoors.

I own the s1 pro, just got the S1 Pro plus; it's far better with the upgrades. To control treble and bass when playing music thru Bluetooth sets it apart from the s1 pro. The clarity, bass and loudness is off the chain. Vol set on the 2nd indicator - -, walked three houses away and crystal clear. Amazing Sound.

This thing packs a punch while maintaining superb quality. Unboxed it in the kitchen. Wanted to test out the max volume and had to stop it at 5% volume so that I wouldn't go deaf inside. Took it outside and brought it up to 40% volume and still felt that I would go deaf. The sound quality was excellent throughout the whole process. The app itself is easy to play around with. There are plenty of settings and options to adjust to your preference. Don't forget to rotate the logo when you put the speaker on the side.
