So, I am using this is a less conventional set up than most. I bought this for use with my home office set up, connecting it to my computer, to provide audio for meetings, and to stream music at other times. I have connected it both via Bluetooth and also using a 3.5mm audio cable (not provided) to my computers audio output. And I have been thrilled with the results. Set up was easy, and with the free app (does anything come without a free app anymore), you get a lot of control over the sound settings. For comparison, I use a pair of Klipsch The Three using PlayFi for my main room audio, and the Marshall has way more EQ settings and customizations. In terms of audio quality and volume, it's exactly what you would expect from a Marshall speaker - forward, full, and responsive. It's admittedly a little bit of an overkill for audio for an online meeting, but it's really there for music streaming when I'm not in a meeting. Very pleased with it and would buy again.

The Pros: It's massive! It weighing in at nearly 8 lbs it's by far the heaviest Bluetooth speaker I've owned. The sound quality is quite impressive. It has that Marshall amp look and feel to it. The Cons: I don't particularly like the power switch. I was hoping for a toggle switch. The nearly $400 price tag is a lot. Final Thoughts: I could go on for hours about how much I love this speaker. From the knobs to the gold finish that adornes the accents and everything in between. Everything about this speaker feels like quality. If the $400 dollar price tag throws you off you can always do what I did... Wait until it goes on sale for 50% off.

Just to start this off, this speaker is not bad. It has good sound quality. But if I had the choice I would have just bought a second Spark, it would not have been very much more. I got this on sale, so it is not nearly as bad if I got it at full price. I have 2 places in my house where I like to have a bluetooth speaker, and I am willing to pay a bit of money because I spend a lot of my time in these two places. The first is my office, where the speaker has to be able to be paired with either my computer or my phone, the second is my garage where I would prefer something with a hard switch so that when I turn on the power strip everything just comes on at once. Just for comparison I will use my Spark by PositiveGrid, I think they are similar in price I got this for 199, and the spark is often at 225. So why do I think the Spark is better or what I do not like about this speaker 1. It is a bit too big for a bookshelf speaker, the type of speaker it is should have a footprint of 6 inches to fit shelves. 2. I hate the way they did the power switch. My spark has a switch in one position it is on and one it is off. If I have this plugged into a power strip and click the power strip on my spark will just turn on, where this thing you have to fiddle with the switch to get it to power on. 3. Lack of instructions. I mean they send you 2 booklets, with 1 line in it, download the app, which btw does not point you to the most important instruction of all which is how to pair it with a device. The app does seems more like a marketing tool for their other products. i mean could you have added a line of press the source button for 5 seconds to put the speaker in pairing mode. In conclusion, if I had the opportunity to buy this again would I? No. I would just buy a second Spark, but the speaker is not bad. It has room for improvement and I would expect better from a company with such reputation for making speakers. And bonus the Spark is not just a bluetooth speaker it is a guitar amp as well, Though I think they would probably say that the other way around, it is a guitar amp that can be used as a speaker.

I already have the Marshall Acton II that I was using in my living room paired to a bluetooth turntable and to stream Spotify from my phone. The sound is great from that speaker but I decided the space needed something with a little more oomph. The Stanmore II fits the bill perfectly. Nice bass tones, clear treble, and it will crank nicely until the neighbors complain. Very easy to connect with bluetooth devices. I haven’t tried the aux cable that was provided yet as I don’t gave the need right now.

The richness of the sound is impressive from this unit. It produces surprisingly loud volume, rich highs and low with actual decent sounding bass. Extremely impressed with the output from this table top BT Speaker. Classic look, and very well put together.

Hands down the best bluetooth speaker I've come across, the classic Marshall styling is timeless and the sound quality is incredible! This thing kicks all the ass.
