I LOVE this thing!!! I’ve been using my old JBL speaker to listen to music when I’m working, as I’m now working from home. However, that thing had the LOUDEST on/off/connection noises that I couldn’t turn off. I am autistic, I can’t take those noises. They were insanely unnecessary. I went on a search for a new speaker that didn’t have such noises. I found a review here stating the same needs and that the sounds were minimal - SO right! It’s just a small little kind quiet sound when it turns on/connects, and that’s IT! For that alone it’s worth it! But beyond that, it’s a nice size, has great sound considering it’s $20 - I mean it’s no Bose, don’t expect it to be but it’s still great considering, has great volume control (my last ones quietest option was fairly loud still), and battery life is really great. The only thing is it turns off after 15 minutes. This is good and bad. Helps battery life, but when I walk away for a break, I have to turn it back on. Not the worst but it’s about the only downside I have. But honestly, you really can’t seem to go wrong here! SO happy with my purchase!

I have had three Oontz speakers, two Angle 3's and a Solo. One of the Angle 3's died a natural death after long use so I got a Solo to replace it. Both the Angle 3 and the Solo have good audio quality - I mostly listen to audio programs such as BBC and, being older, need lower tones to be able to understand the spoken words and these help immensely and are reasonably priced. The major problem I had with both Angle 3's is often the bluetooth would not connect and I had to go to setup on my Android phone to reconnect. The Solo does not seem to have this problem. What I do not understand is why Oontz decided to change up the switch configuration between the Solo and the Angle 3. The power switch on the Solo is where the mute switch is on the Angle 3 and the mute switch on the Solo is now smack dab in the middle of the triangle, where there is nothing. This is quite frustrating.

Well, my little guy kicked the bucket after years of abuse so I thought I'd write a review of the time I had with him. He died charging while plugged into my computer, so I know it wasn't a surge that killed him since many things were plugged in and nothing else died. A disturbingly loud high-pitched scream followed by a crackle and a pop were his last words to me, or perhaps he was already gone from the moment the charger hit him and this was simply a death rattle. I can't say. Those who remember him, recall such joys from his life with us: • He was loud and had a bassy voice. • He held a long charge for his whole life. Maybe wanting to hold a charge so desperately was what did him off in the end. • He was able to sustain some real abuse without a complaint. I dropped him on concrete while running up to a friend's house, watched cats knock him off tables, took him in the shower, and his little red light came on after each click of the power button. That isn't dirt you see on his corpse, it's rusted scars from the many injuries he sustained over his lifetime. • He was a frugal soul, never requiring much money. But no great man is without his faults: • He made a high-pitched whine when charging. This whine gets louder when fully charged. His brother, who is also of the Oontz family, did the same before he went to live with my father. • Some jealous rivals have called his voice too bassy to the point that he was mumbly and speech could be hard to understand in louder environments or when he spoke quietly. I think this is harsh, but fair. • Finally, he could not outlive me, his adopted parent. A real shame. Rest well, gentle soul, you will not be forgotten!

this bluetooth speaker is terrific and a terrific value. passed the pink floyd test easily. crank the volume, set it bass side down and it will levitate. great battery life, too. so much value for the money! sounds even better wired but that does seem to suck the battery down on my phone hooked up that way. if it doesn't crap out quickly, i will consider it an outstanding purchase.

Had one for a few years, recently purchased another to pair. Paired easily to my surprise. For the cash I don't think you can beat it. This is coming from a non audiophile though but the sound is perfect for me especially as I use them on a construction site, very durable dropped in a bucket of paint still works and now it's a work of art! Battery life is way longer than I originally anticipated.

We've had the speaker for 2 years now. Great sound quality - highs are not harsh, vocals are clear and the bass is strong for such a small speaker (even with dance music). The battery lasts a long time. We used it for around an hour every night yet only had to charge it once a week. But after two years, a couple concerns. Did these happen to anyone else? 1) The battery loses charge more quickly than before. Now we have to charge it twice a week rather than once. 2) The plug on the charger is kind of flaky now. You have to really press it firmly into the speaker before the red light turns on. It can take a few tries of doing this. I know, for example, that laptop batteries can stop holding charge after a couple years, so maybe that's what's starting to happen here? Nonetheless, once it's charged we are able to enjoy that great sound again. :) Also, it allows you to use it while plugged in if you want.

I bought one of these when I needed a small speaker with big sound to be used while teaching music in different rooms (on a cart) for the year after covid started. It has great sound, can fill up most classrooms, and outperforms some other big speakers I have. I bought several of these after I realized how great it was. I used it in both schools I taught in, and at home. Easy bluetooth connectivity.

What a great Bluetooth speaker. The sound is awesome. Without any sound adjustment buttons, the sound is great. It connects within seconds. It's nice and small, the way I wanted it. It's also durable, and lightweight. I might have to buy another one to connect two together, because I can. It has an auxiliary plug, wire sold separately. Oh well. I would tell somebody to buy it. Works great 👍
