So I am going to write an honest review for this speaker. first of all I am not sure how all of these reviews can say the sound is amazing? I have a JBL and Bose which blow this speaker away in sound quality. However the sound is good enough for out on the golf course. The main reasons I bought this was for using on the golf course and for the features (magnet, waterproof, and MicroSD card). I will say I used it for the first time yesterday on the course and it sounded well and the magnet is super strong so the speaker is definitely not going anywhere. My only gripe with this speaker is that I can't get a Micro SD card to work in it which was one of the main selling points for me so I didn't need to use my cell phone while on the course. I called the ROKFORM customer support and they were worthless. They said the music needed to be in a certain format but they had no idea what the format that was and said they would get back with me but I haven't heard anything back from them in two days. I asked isn't it MP3 or WAV and they said no, as soon as they said that I knew I was in trouble. Anyway I have tried pressing the "Mode" button several times (what your supposed to do) and just cant get any of my three different SD cards to work. My last straw was to order the SanDisk card recommended on the ROKFORM website and if that works I will post back in this comment one way or the other. Maybe I just have defective speaker which happens sometimes, but the customer support is pathetic as I have called several times and sent several emails without much if any help. It's a shame because overall other than the SD card issue I really like this speaker it sounds good, seems very rugged, magnet is awesome. The only draw back I can see is in the company itself, who doesn't list the music formats that are compatible with their products in the specifications or anywhere for that matter? Instructions for what each button does are no where to be found either I had to get that information from other users. So what I have learned to help others is the "M" or mode button is pressed once for connecting to Bluetooth (little blue led flashes) and it does connect pretty easy to a phone, the "+" and "-" buttons work in two different ways if you hold them down they control the volume and if you quickly press they skip forward or backward to the next song, the play/pause button does just that, and the power button is also self explanatory. Pros: Ultra Strong Battery, Water Proof, Rugged, Battery Life Cons: MicroSD card (may be faulty), Customer support, Owners Manual, Not all proper specifications listed on website. Again I will update if the recommended SD card works, but that would still be a CON in my opinion, any MicroSD card which meets the size limitations should be able to work and if not at least put that in the description somewhere. // Update 18 SEP 2020 // Well I received the SanDisk card recommended to use on the ROKFORM website and still no luck with getting it to work. I believe I have a defective product as others have seemed to have no issues with playing MP3 music from an SD card on their speaker. Guess I will be returning for a replacement. // Update 21 SEP 2020 // So instead of returning my speaker I have decided to buy a mini MP3 player (Oakcastle MP100) for $25 here on Amazon. That little guy pairs with the speaker well and gives you a little more options than just playing on an SD card anyway (shuffle, equalizer etc.). I have used this combination twice now (2 round of golf) for approximately 7 hours without having to charge either device. I am going to up my review to 4 stars, if you are looking for a speaker that is loud enough to hear from the other side of the fairway, is waterproof, holds to the cart like it was welded on, and has a long battery life then you probably can't beat this. If however you are looking for a speaker that flat out sounds good with deeper bass sound there are better speakers in this price range for that. My older JBL Flip3 most definitely sounds much better with a much deeper bass. I just like the functionality of this ROKFORM speaker a little better for golfing and it sounds good enough. I am just not sure if these other reviewers have ever owned another Bluetooth speaker before to say this has amazing sound? If amazing to them means "LOUD" then I guess..

I'll start with a little TL:DR first in case people just want the pros and cons instead of reading a long review... Pros: 1. Super strong magnets (guaranteed they are stronger than you expect). 2. Extremely rugged design keeps you from worrying about whether or not you need a case for it. 3. The speaker gets extremely loud. 4. Waterproof latch for the interface is better than any others I've come across. 5. Has a micro SD slot in case you go out where you can't stream music. Cons: 1. Low end leaves you wanting more. 2. No app to allow you to mess with the EQ. This is actually much better than I expected! I bought this to replace an older Oontz bluetooth speaker that I had for awhile. The speaker still worked but it didn't really hold a charge that well anymore and when I was out on course it would cut in and out a bit. I chose to go with this speaker over buying a new Oontz (which I actually loved) because I didn't want to have to deal with a strap or anything in order to clip it on to a golf cart and this speaker looked like it was a lot more rugged. After opening the package the first two things I did was test the magnet strength and test the speaker itself. The magnet is a huge pro on this speaker, I have a computer desk I built and the legs are made out of welded 2" square steel tubing. I didn't expect the magnets to be all the strong so I went to place it against my desk leg to test it, as soon as I got it close the magnets ripped the speaker out of my hand and attached to my desk leg. That was good on its own but the surprise came when I tried to pull it back off. With the amount of force I had to use to pull it off, I don't care how bumpy the paths, fairways, or roughs are at your local course, they aren't knocking this thing free. Sound is where a lot of people are going to be concerned probably. This thing gets super loud, so loud that I actually didn't even test it above 50% volume. There's no distortion with how loud it's getting and unless your course is saying cart path only and you happen to hit it on the other side of the fairway, you're not having a problem hearing your music through this. There's only one downside but it's definitely not enough to take away a star, the low end is a bit lacking. I usually pride myself on having very good audio and I usually like my audio equipment to have a pretty flat response curve that way I can use whatever EQ I have in order to change it up the way I like it. This has extremely crispy highs, above average mids, but the lows are where it starts to fall off. I doubt this would be an issue for me out on course though. The other did huge pros for me that were completely unexpected and though small, are pretty big creature comfort things are the door for the outlets and the micro SD reader that I didn't know was on this speaker. The waterproof door that covers the AUX port, the charging port, and the micro SD reader shuts with a satisfying click letting you know that it is truly shut. It also is a bit hard to open, which with something like this, is a very good thing. You know that it's not just going to pop itself open randomly. As far as the micro SD reader, this wasn't something I was expecting nor it was something I thought I needed but it's definitely something I can see myself using in the future. I tend to try out as many golf courses as I can and that sometimes leads me out into the sticks where I don't have good phone service at all. Well it's a bit hard to stream music without service...unless you can just slide an SD card in and call it a day. This may be something that is a once in a blue moon use case, but it shows how much thought went in to this speaker.

The Rokform G-ROK Portable Golf Speaker is an amazing device that exceeded my expectations in every way. It is a magnetic wireless speaker that attaches to any metal surface, making it perfect for use on the golf course. The sound quality is exceptional, with crisp and clear audio that makes listening to music or podcasts a pleasure. The G-ROK is incredibly easy to use, with intuitive controls that allow you to adjust the volume, skip tracks, and pause or play music with just a few simple button presses.
