My previous brand of Bluetooth speaker started to malfunction so I wanted a change with a better overall sound quality than what I was used to. This one was slightly more expensive than the others but still cheap enough to try with no hesitation. The bass response was instantly noticable, and I was pleased with that. It's not super loud as far as overall volume, but I don't need that. I can use it to listen to YouTube videos and podcasts while puttering around the house and can play along with songs with a guitar in my lap. It looks great. The buttons are responsive and the strap, which I didn't care about at all before buying, has been incredibly useful. I hang it on all kinds of things and it has become a really unexpected perk. The only Con is the charging cable is very short, but that's not a big deal.

I tried four different speakers and this one is by far the best. Two sounded rather tinny and one sounded great. Until I tested it against this one. This, by far, has the best sound. I love that it’s small, love the color, and it’s a quick on and off. One feature I really liked on the runner up was that it always told you how much battery life was left when you turned it off-it would be great if this one had that feature too. But overall, it’s a small thing compared to the great sound and how easily portable it is. And a very small footprint.

So I bought this for the rugged, outdoor, waterproof attributes. I have used it at home in the living room and office and think it is great. BUT - I took it outdoors with me and it just isnt very loud if you are more than 10 feet away from it or if you are at the beach with other music/background noise around. Just know when/where you want to use it and if you need more volume or not. I would recommend it in private, but in a public setting I would go for a bit more boom.

I wasn’t expecting Bose-like sound out of this. I was primarily wanting to use it so I could listen to music as I drove, since the radio in my Jeep took a dump years ago. I can’t bring myself to spend a grand for a new stereo in a 10 year old vehicle. This thing does the job, but it isn’t loud enough to truly enjoy as I drive. I’d suggest using a much larger speaker if that’s what you need it for. But by the pool, at the campsite, or in your room, it works amazingly well and has good bass response for its size.

I have several Sony electronics and it's been a reliable brand for me. Prior to this, I bought a small bluetooth speaker from a well-known popular brand and right out of the box, it had a terrible static sound so I had to return it. I should have bought this Sony one from the beginning to save myself the hassle. Works perfect for my needs!

I like this speaker, it sounds nice but it is a bit quiet even on the upgraded XB-100 the battery life is the main complaint. I got this to be used for taking anywhere it’s needed. It fits perfectly in a cup holder as it is about the size of a soda can, but a inch or so shorter maybe. Good for putting in my old work truck which doesn’t have a radio. I recommend it but realize it will be weaker and has less battery life than the ads suggest. I got orange and it is a very good looking shade of orange.

We bought this for our backyard area. It was so easy to hook up my 7 year old literally set it up in a few minutes. We needed something to connect to our phones while we were relaxing outside and could withstand the activities children tend to do. First sprays of water and this speaker took them like a champ. Highly recommend it for suburbia. If you have a large yard, I’d probably grab two for an extra boost, but it’s a great speaker and seems durable!
